Monthly Tournaments

Scheduled tournaments occur most months and are open to all Garden Club members.  The categories of competition are scheduled in the Club yearbook, and vary from month to month depending on the theme and what vegetation is available that month.  Judges from outside the BGC judge all local tournaments.  Floral design, horticulture and special exhibit entries (such as Botanical arts, Artistic crafts, or Photography) are received in the morning of general meetings and then “judged” before the general meeting.   Entries not received by the deadline will be marked “For Display Only”.  All design entries must contact the Design Chair at least one day in advance so there is an assigned space for that design entry.  All horticultural entries may be brought in from 9 am to 11 am the morning of the tournament for registration.  Registration forms are available in the form section of this website.
